In Memoriam Fra Petar Stjepan Krasic

With great sadness, we announce that the founder, president, and honorary president of the Kennel Club of Bosnia and Herzegovina (KSuBiH),Fra Petar Stjepan Krasic, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025.

From his earliest childhood, he nurtured a deep love and devotion to dogs. His distinguished cynological career began in 1975 as a dog show judge, later achieving the title of International All-Breed Judge (ALL ROUND JUDGE).
Since 1976, he dedicated himself to the revitalization and international recognition of the indigenous breed — the Bosnian and Herzegovinian–Croatian Shepherd Dog — which was officially recognized on November 9, 2017, at the World Dog Show in Leipzig. It is a poignant coincidence that he left us on the very same date.

He also served for many years as a member and president of the Committee for Judge Exam at KSuBiH. Through his lifelong work, he made an exceptional contribution to the development and advancement of cynology in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The world of cynology has lost a remarkable person today.
