August 29th, 2014
Yesterday, August 28th, the FCI launched their newly-designed website. I hope that many of you have had an opportunity to tour it, but I have and let me tell you: what a change!
In my introductory speech during FCI General Assembly 2013, I quoted the great Socrates:
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”.
We can be proud of such an informative content, available in the four working languages of the FCI: although the user will still be able to access the usual FCI information resources, the whole process is much more user-friendly and attractive. The modern design supports the fluent navigation and the search tools makes the visit quick and effective.
This is just the beginning of the modernisation process: in the future, we will develop new informative and educational contents, new functionalities and online tools. This will definitely build a stronger community, worthy of World’s largest canine organisation, our FCI!
What is new, among others?
the new FCI website now offers a search engine and a News section
the Standards and Nomenclature section has been completely redesigned and is now entitled Breeds
the Members section is now displayed in a clearer way, listing all member countries under the five FCI sections
the Calendars section has been revamped, also with a clearer display
the Regulations section now provides the regulations according to the different FCI disciplines, which is much more reader-friendly than in the older version
a slider where highlights will be made available
as you probably know, FCI CACIB shows’ results have been available online since April 1st
Enjoy your new FCI website available at www.fci.be!
